Biographical Information

Xie Guoqiang was born in September, 1979. He received Ph.D. degree from the Department of Optical Science and Engineering in Fudan University in December, 2007. From September 2006 to August 2009, he worked as a research fellow at the Photonics Research Center of Nan yang Technological University in Singapore. In September 2009, he became a distinguished Researcher in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is a member of Optical Society of America (OSA) and Shanghai Laser Association. His research interests include ultrafast solid-state laser and novel laser materials. He has published more than 20 papers indexed by SCI in past three years and has two Chinese invention patents. His research results have ever been highlighted by Optics and Laser Europe and Laser Focus World China.

 

Research Field

1. Ultrafast solid-state laser based on novel material, including ceramic laser, disordered crystal laser etc.

2. High-energy optical parametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA), especially few-cycle OPCPA.
