Biographical Information

Peng Yuan was born in Shandong Province in 1981. From 1999 to 2003, he studied at Shandong University for bachelor's degree. From 2003 to 2008, he finished his doctor's degree at Fudan University. And then he became a lecturer at Fudan University until the end of 2009. From 2010, he becomes the assistant researcher in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Peng Yuan is major at ultra-fast laser and matter interaction.


Research Field

Peng Yuan is major at ultra-fast laser and matter interaction, which belongs to areas of high-power ultra-fast optics. His research includes generation, amplification, harmonic conversion, and surveying for high-power ultra-fast laser. These results are mainly used in high-intensity solid-state laser engineering.


AchievementSelected publications

In recent years, Peng Yuan has published tens of papers on SCI journals. He takes two issues as the principal person from 863, and joins other major issues of group. He has applied for 5 patents in China and one patent in USA. Three patents were authorized. Peng Yuan attended the meeting of STAR1 at Tokyo, Japan, and gave a report on “Fiber-array-based detection scheme for single-shot pulse contrast characterization”. He also attended two meetings in China and gave reports.
