Place: Meeting Rm., LLP

Abstract: After the first demonstration of efficient ceramic lasers ten years ago, ceramic lasers have seen great progress on high average power, high peak power as well as high pulse energy. These progresses promise new opportunities for huge laser facility, as cases in the projects of LIFE and ELI, which are proposed to be constructed in next decade.

Ceramic lasers are at the door of the real applications in the huge laser facility, just need a kick on the goal. The workshop, arising from the state of art of solid-state lasers, will focus on fundamental science, advanced technology, and prospective application of ceramic lasers. The pioneers, experts and professionals of ceramic lasers are invited to share their experiences and foresight in this workshop.
