YOKOGAWA
Time: 9:30 am, September 13, 2011
Place: LLP Meeting Room on the 3rd floor

Biographical Information

Jianren  Lu conducted research of laser ceramics in Institute for Laser Science (ILS), The University of Electro-Communications (UEC), whose Supervisor is the distinguished laser technology researcher Ken-ichi UEDA, between 1998 and 2004.

Prof. Lu initially developed multiple ceramics lasers, such as Nd:Y2O3, Yb:Y2O3, Yb:Sc2O3,Nd:Lu2O3, etc, which received extensive concern. Published more than 10 publications as for the first author in the world-famous journals such as Applied Physics Letters, etc. which has been cited for about 1200 times.

Prof. Lu is the pioneer of the peta watt laser pulse shaping, who has developed a new algorithm of femtosecond pulse and nanosecond square wave during the time he was responsible for the research of high energy laser system pulse shaping in Osaka University between 2004 and 2006.

The biological optical instruments, Pro.Lu has developed in YOKOGAWA since 2006 such as confocal microscope, create medicine device which have been prized for many times, have won the top global sales.
