Recently, Yu Lule, Sheng Zhengming from Department of Physics and Astronomy of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and their partner raised a new method to modulate the spectrum and space-time characteristics of intense laser light, by using ultra-fast plasma optical modulators for intense lasers.

Related research outcomes have been published on Nature Communications [Lu-Le Yuet al., Nat. Commun.7, 11893 (2016)], with the name of "Plasma optical modulators for intense lasers".
